It allows you to compile texts and bibliographic details from online catalogues, databases, websites and PDF files, and to add notes to them. With the Word add-in and the Publication Assistant, it is possible to insert citations and bibliographies directly into a word processing programme without having to switch between programmes.<\/p><p>One notable feature is Citavi Web, a browser extension that can be used independently of the desktop app.<\/p><p>Martin Luther University has acquired a campus licence for the reference management system Citavi Team. Staff and students at our university can use this powerful programme for their studies, teaching and research, both at work and at home. Access to Citavi and Citavi Web is initially guaranteed until September 2027.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The use of Citavi 6 is linked to a cloud service. You can find an overview of the new features on the\u00a0<a class=\"extern wp-dark-mode-ignore\" title=\"citavi (Opens in a new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.citavi.com\/de\/was-ist-neu-in-c6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Citavi website<\/a>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Please note: The software is currently managed by LUMIVERO, a company based in Denver, Colorado. When using the software, please be aware that the data protection standards and conditions applied by LUMIVERO may not comply with EU regulations. Please bear these uncertainties in mind when working with the software. As a library, we have no influence over the processing of data, as the software company is responsible for this.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>By using the software, you accept these terms. Please note the following regarding the software\u2019s web and\/or cloud services: Given the data protection situation outlined above, the use of the web and\/or cloud services is considered unsafe for working with personal and security-related data; consequently, these services are not suitable for working with personal and\/or security-related and\/or business data.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Please note: Reference management programmes are now frequently equipped with AI-powered assistance systems. General information on this subject can be found, amongst other places, at <a href=\"https:\/\/bibliothek.uni-halle.de\/en\/suchen-finden\/journals-and-databases-2\/\">here<\/a> bundled.<\/p><p>Please bear in mind that, in the case of proprietary software which you use under the licence agreements between the university and the software companies, your use of the programmes is linked to your affiliation with the university and to the term of the agreements. Therefore, if your affiliation with the university ends (for example, because you are transferring to another university), you will no longer be able to use the software under the university licence. Furthermore, these licences are not perpetual licences.<\/p><p>It is therefore possible that (individual) licences may not be renewed (for reasons such as changes to the terms and conditions or framework, for example with regard to data protection), and that, as a result, it will no longer be possible to use the software under that licence.
