It is impossible to estimate to what extent this service can still be maintained under the current circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is therefore very important to strengthen European information structures. The ZB Med, as a supra-regional information centre in the field of life sciences, is currently developing an alternative to PubMed. A first step has already been taken: the content currently available on PubMed has been secured and can be searched and accessed via LIVIVO (https:\/\/www.zbmed.de\/recherchieren\/livivo), the ZB Med\u2019s search portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, there are plans to take further steps to expand the infrastructure as part of a DFG-funded project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the details here (https:\/\/www.zbmed.de\/ueber-uns\/presse\/pressemitteilungen\/artikel\/infrastruktur-made-in-europe)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PubMed, one of the most important databases in biomedical research, is an information infrastructure publicly funded by the US government.
