RSS feeds help you keep track of current developments relating to your areas of interest. They automatically summarise new contributions and changes on websites. Many sites offer such feeds, which you can easily download automatically to your computer using a news aggregator.
Look for references to an RSS feed on pages you visit frequently. Often you will find the RSS icon indicating that the site offers a feed.
If you use essays from the plethora of electronic journals, just look for the RSS icon and keep track of new publications!
Ha:Lit also offers the possibility of creating an RSS alert for any search query. You can start a search on Ha:Lit from the university network or via VPN, repeat it automatically later and download the results directly into your feed reader.
To do this, click on Share in the results list and then on RSS Message.
RSS feeds are useful companions for your everyday research. Feel free to try them!
