Main Reading Room
In the main reading room, you can view items from the stacks that cannot be borrowed, as well as interlibrary loans. Workstations, PCs, microform readers and a document scanner are available for creating scans free of charge.

Reading room for historical collections and maps
In the reading room for historical collections and maps, visitors may, under supervision, consult the historical collection comprising works published before 1850, maps, special collections and interlibrary loans. Workstations, PCs, reader-printers, the latest daily newspapers and a document scanner are available for creating scans free of charge.

Access to items in the historical collections and the loan of historical items is only permitted between 08:00 and 15:00.
Provision of the magazine collection
You will receive an email notification as soon as your orders are ready for collection.
Collection of items from the storeroom (Monday–Friday)
Order by 08:00 → Collection from 09:30
Order by 1.00 pm → Collection from 2.30 pm
Orders placed after 1.00 pm → Delivery the following day from 9.30 am
Dispatch of stock from the external warehouse (Monday–Friday)
Order by 11.00 am → Collection from 2.30 pm
Orders placed after 11.00 am → Collection the following day from 2.30 pm
Additional features
A scanner is available. There is also a top-up machine or payment terminal on site. The payment machine in Building 50 is located near the lockers on the first floor. You can use the following cards to top up your card: EC card, Giro card, credit card, debit card and mobile phone.
Accessibility
At the local library, accessible entry is available by prior arrangement. Unfortunately, the main reading room is not accessible. The reading room for historical collections and maps is accessible to people with disabilities and can be reached via a lift at the rear of Building 13. All toilets in both buildings are accessible to people with disabilities. Access to Building 50 is only possible by appointment.
