Regional bibliography

The Saxony-Anhalt Regional Bibliography is a catalogue of literature:

• concerning all regions, districts and towns in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt,
• covering all areas of life and fields of knowledge (including regional history and nature, art and culture, the economy, the population and social issues),
• on notable figures who were either born in Saxony-Anhalt or spent a considerable amount of time working here.

It therefore has both a scholarly and an informative character.

The Saxony-Anhalt Regional Bibliography was launched in 1965 and has been published on an ongoing basis, covering two reporting years at a time. The last printed volume was published in 1999, covering the reporting years 1997/1998. The coverage area includes the present-day administrative districts of Dessau, Halle and Magdeburg.

You can search the more than 240,000 title records in the online catalogue of the Saxony-Anhalt Regional Bibliography, which is not only constantly being expanded but also supplemented retrospectively.

Not all titles listed in the catalogue are held by the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt. Those that are held are identified in the catalogue by the call number or the branch library code. Information on how to access these titles can be found in the ULB’s online catalogue.
