For school groups

The course was designed specifically for school classes Getting started with research/Preparing for your term paper (Duration: approx. 90 minutes) developed: The topics covered include, amongst others, an overview of the University and State Library and information on how to search for relevant literature. This training programme also includes a guided tour of the relevant branch library.

If school classes are to be given an overview of the library as a whole, as well as information about a specific branch library, this can be done as part of a Library tour (Duration: approx. 30 minutes) possible.

We have a special offer for teachers: in our session „The Library as a Place of Learning“, we will work together to explore how visits to the library and research can be incorporated into lessons. This session can be booked by selecting „Other“ under ‘Course format’. 

The training sessions mentioned can take place at the Steintor Campus, Juridicum, Heide-Süd and Franckeplatz branch libraries, as well as at the library’s main building on August-Bebel-Straße.
