FDM plans

A research data management plan is a document drawn up by applicants to provide potential reviewers with information on how research data will be generated and managed during a project.

Research data management at MLU

As set out in its research data guidelines, MLU is committed to supporting its researchers in drawing up data management plans (DMPs).

Several funding bodies require data management plans to be submitted as supplementary information with funding applications. In some cases, these plans are even mandatory. The ULB offers support in drafting the various sections of a data management plan.

The ULB and the Open Science team work closely with other institutions that also support various FDM activities at the university. One of these partners is the Saxony-Anhalt Historical Data Centre.

The ULB’s Open Science team can be contacted to discuss FDM and DMP issues in person. Draft DMPs can also be sent by email to receive comments and feedback.

SciFlow users can make use of templates provided by various funding bodies (DFG, BMBF, H2020) to draw up data management plans collaboratively.
