The library aims to help people access information and media easily.

1. Registration 

You must register in order to access all the books and services at the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt. You can do this in person at the library or online.

4. Help from the information desk

The information desk staff are very familiar with how the library works. For example, if someone doesn’t know how to borrow a book or where to find specific information, they can ask the information desk. The staff will then explain what to do and help with any questions about the library.

5. List of events

The ULB offers courses and training programmes to support research and teaching. This means it helps students find their way around the library and locate good books and information. It also offers courses on specific topics such as academic research and historical books. In addition, school classes and other interested members of the public can take part in a guided tour of the old stacks.
