New Database Information System (DBIS)

Contents

The database information system DBIS (https://dbis.ur.de/?lang=en) has been sporting a new design since 15 October 2024! In the latest version, the layout and user interface have been completely redesigned to offer you a more modern and intuitive user experience. It is now available not only in German, but also in English.

DBIS helps you find the right databases for your research needs. In DBIS, we show you which databases are freely available and provide you with access to our licensed databases.

The new version of DBIS was developed as part of a DFG project (funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) – 440516279 – https://gepris.dfg.de/gepris/projekt/440516279?language=en). The University Library of Regensburg, in close collaboration with the (inter)national library system, has further developed the database information system into a web service closely tailored to users’ new needs. DBIS lists all key information on databases, enables a quick and well-informed selection, and allows individual views to be flexibly customised. Over 370 participating institutions are working together cooperatively, including us!
