Steintor Campus Branch Library (Ha 18)

The branch library on the Steintor Campus (Ha 18) opened in 2015 and was created through the merger of several small branch and departmental libraries. It is the ULB’s largest site and houses the collections in the humanities and social sciences.

Premises & Facilities

 The library has 338 study spaces, 14 computer workstations, 267 laptop connection points, as well as study spaces equipped with treadmills and exercise bikes. There is also a scanner and a ScanTent. The payment machine is located in the foyer near the cloakroom lockers. You can use the following cards to top up your card: EC card, Giro card, credit card, debit card, mobile phone

Booking individual or group rooms

Individual study spaces (carrels) can be booked using the form for allocating a Private office(Carrel) can be reserved for a period of 4–8 weeks. For 8 weeks, the Registration for the final examination required. On the ground floor of the building there are 3 seminar rooms / computer labs, which are accessible via the centralised room allocation are available to book.

Accessibility

Both entrances to the lower ground floor and ground floor are accessible. There is a lift in the building. An accessible toilet is located on the ground floor.

The Subject specialists are experts in providing information within their respective specialist fields. They are responsible for building up and developing subject-specific collections and provide support with the search for and use of academic information.
