Events
For anyone interested
A number of events from our programme are of particular relevance to users of the State Library. The University and State Library usually contributes several events to the annual Long Night of Science in Halle.
Other high-profile events include guided tours of the historic storage building: take a look behind the scenes at the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt. On a tour of the historic stacks building, you’ll learn interesting facts about the building’s architecture, its special collections and the remit of the state’s largest academic general library. The guided tours usually take place on the first Saturday of the month from 11 am. You can find further details in the events calendar below.
From March 2025, guided tours of the historic warehouse building will resume.
We also offer guided tours of our branch libraries on request.
If you are interested in a group tour of this kind, please complete the form at the bottom of the page (please note: no separate booking is required for regular guided tours of the historic warehouse building; the form is therefore only for other enquiries).
