Reference Management Systems – How Citavi, EndNote and Zotero help you keep track of your research results, citations and footnotes

Content

On your desk are piles of books with notes on important sources and on your PC are cryptic files in the folder “Literature – important!” of which you no longer have any idea what is actually in there?

Then it’s high time to organise your literature with the help of a literature management system.

Programmes such as EndNote, Citavi and Zotero help you keep track of the literature used and support you by easily creating error-free bibliographies and references formatted according to your department’s specifications. As a member (students and employees) of the MLU, you can use Citavi and EndNote free of charge with a campus licence – or you can opt for the open-source software Zotero.

Even if we cannot welcome you to one of our face-to-face events at the moment, we offer you an simple introduction to literature management with our online training courses.

Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. we offer training on the literature management programmes Citavi, EndNote or Zotero. You can find more detailed information on the specific dates in the calendar. Upon request, we also offer these training courses in English. Please register via Stud.IP. Should this not be possible due to technical reasons, please send an e-mail to literaturverwaltung@bibliothek.uni-halle.de.
