Research Data
NFDI / NRDI
Based on the administrative agreement reached by the federal and state governments on November 26, 2018, the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Joint Science Conference (GWK) are collaborating on the establishment and funding of a National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI, “Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur”). Several institutions of the Martin-Luther-University and also individual staff members are actively involved in this process. They participate either as co-applicants, participants or supporters in individual subject-oriented consortia and contribute their expertise to the processes surrounding the management of research data.
NFDI at the MLU
In order to give a structure to the NFDI as a whole, the NFDI e.V. association was established in 2020 with the Martin–Luther–University being a member since April 2021. The Martin-Luther-University has also appointed a spokesperson for the association, Dr. Volker Adam from the ULB Saxony-Anhalt, who acts as a link between the newly constituted association and the institutions and individuals at MLU involved in the NDFI processes.
