This branch library has been located in the Robertinum on Universitätsplatz since 1927, a building originally constructed from 1889 to 1891 with the intent of housing the Archaeological Museum. Today the building unites the Department of Classical Studies, the branch library as well as the Archaeological Museum.

The library holdings are predominantly situated in open access shelving and according to an individual classification system. In the areas of classical archaeology, numismatics, epigraphy and papyrology, please be aware that the stocks are shelved according to their respective height (format shelving).
