Science Tracking

02.07.2024
10:00 - 12:00

Internet use often leaves a data trail, which might be of great interest to website operators, for example to offer customized advertising. But what happens to the data that is generated when we search library catalogues and academic databases? In which way might publishers, for example, be interested in your searches?

These and further questions will be addressed in this course. There will also be tips on what can be done to prevent science tracking.
