Restrictions with PubMed?

Content

PubMed, one of the most important databases in biomedical research, is an information infrastructure publicly funded by the US government. The extent to which this service can still be maintained under the current circumstances cannot be estimated.

It is therefore very important to strengthen European information structures. The ZB Med as a supra-regional information center in the field of life sciences is currently developing an alternative to PubMed. A first step has already been taken: the content currently available on PubMed has been secured and can be searched and accessed in LIVIVO (https://www.zbmed.de/recherchieren/livivo), the search portal of the ZB Med.

In addition, there are plans to take further steps to expand the infrastructure in a DFG-funded project.
