Newspaper Digitisation at the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt

The presentation provides an insight into newspaper digitisation at the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt. The focus thereby lies on the current newspaper project encompassing political newspapers from the Halle-Merseburg area. In addition to the workflow, further developments in full-text recognition and the associated improvements in the presentation and use of the digitised material is going to be briefly examined. In addition to the region-specific options for digitised newspapers, the newspaper portal of the German Digital Library is also going to be included as a supraregional platform.
