For Everybody Interested

A certain number of events from our portfolio could also be interesting for our state library users. The University and State Library regularly participates in the annual Long Night of the Sciences in Halle by offering several events.

Public events also include guided tours of the historic magazine building: take a behind-the-scenes look at the Saxony-Anhalt University and State Library. During a guided tour of the historic magazine building, you will learn interesting details about the building’s architecture, the library’s unique collections and the role of the largest general academic library in the state. These tours typically take place on the first Saturday of each month starting at 11 a.m. Further details can be found in the event calendar below.

In 2025, tours of the historic magazine building will resume starting in February.

Guided Tours of the indivual branch libraries are possible per request.
